How much does a transportable home cost in NZ?
Pricing is based on your floor plan, site conditions and finishes. Transbuild provides a landed cost estimate specific to your address rather than a flat rate. Your Home Starter Pack then turns this into a fixed project cost, fully credited against your build cost when you sign your Master Builder contract within 10 weeks. What's included in the price?
Your estimate covers your home, delivery to your site and a provisional sum for pile foundations, confirmed by a geotechnical report.
How long does it take to get a transportable home built and delivered in Auckland?
Most Transbuild homes are built off-site in 12 weeks, with no weather delays since construction happens inside a factory. Our 7-step process runs from your initial site check through to delivery and handover. Once your home is on its foundations, allow a further 2 to 3 weeks for final site works.
Will my site need special foundations or engineering?
A geotechnical report confirms what foundation your site needs. Your estimate is based on a standard NZS 3604 foundation, with the geotech report identifying whether extra piles, depth, bracing, or an engineered foundation are needed for your specific site. If you already have a geotech or survey report, sharing it early helps us provide a more accurate quote.
Can I finance a transportable home the same way as a standard build?
Most major banks now offer mortgage products for homes built off-site and delivered to your section. Start with your existing bank to see what’s available, or lean on Transbuild’s partners at Westpac, Tella and Colab Mortgages for extra support.
